Research projects include collaborative field activities on reefs worldwide, experiments in indoor and outdoor coral facilities in Miami, and genetic analysis of samples in the laboratory. These activities encompass a range of themes including molecular systematics, population genetics, conservation biology and physiological ecology. An important aspect of many of these projects is the promotion of a marine conservation ethic to public and policy audiences.
